Race Officials’ Course

ESSKIA is pleased to announce that there will be a Race Officials’ Course held at Manchester on 12/13 May.

This will be an official Snowsport England Level One Course.

Following the successful course held last year it has been decided to offer this course to staff, students, parents and any other interested people.

ONE FREE PLACE PER MEMBER SCHOOL IS OFFERED.

The Course is very suitable for those who have a little race experience, either as performer or watcher, and who wish to further their knowledge and gain an official qualification. We are especially keen to encourage young officials and this could be a good way of students gaining an additional item for their CV.

The course will be in two parts – a theory session on Saturday 12 May, in the late afternoon, followed by practical experience on the snow on the morning of 13 May, shadowing officials at the British Schools’ Indoor Snow Championships.

Application should be made to Gillian Gilyead via the courses option in the contact form as soon as possible.

The first course member from a school will be free, further participants will be charged £30, and details of how to pay this fee (if applicable) will be sent.

Registration as an Official with Snowsport England is included in the course.

This is an excellent opportunity and we do hope that a good number of staff, students and parents will be attracted by the idea of gaining theoretical knowledge and practical experience on the same course.
